However, it cannot connect with a regular USB cable; users must purchase the VINCA DTCR-03 cable (sold separately) to facilitate data transfer to a PC.
For those requiring NIST-traceable calibration certificates, optional models DCLA-0605C, DCLA-0805C, and DCLA-1205C are available.
The caliper's measuring range spans from 0-4 inches/100mm to 0-24 inches/600mm, with a large LCD screen (13mm x 38mm) that supports inch/metric/fraction conversions. Accuracy ranges from ±0.001"/0.03mm (for 4-inch, 6-inch, and 8-inch models) to ±0.0027"/0.07mm (for the 24-inch model), with a resolution of 0.0005"/0.01mm and 1/128" fractional display (for 6-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch models).
The package includes the VINCA DCLA-0805 digital caliper, a durable red box, one installed 1.5V LR44 battery, and a spare battery, along with a user guide. The RS232 data transfer cable is sold separately.
Important tips: - The scale printed on the body/beam is for decorative purposes only; measurements should be read from the digital display. - The zero line on the printed scale should not line up with the jaw line but should be aligned under the left side of the black plastic vernier cover. - The thumb wheel is designed to be loose to allow it to hang on the plastic hook when not in use, reducing friction between the body/beam and the wheel. - If the display is blinking or the numbers are jumping, replace the old battery with a new one.
