The Mitutoyo 530 series vernier caliper is a versatile tool that offers four-way measurement capabilities in both inch and metric units. Designed for applications where the highest accuracy is essential, particularly in scientific research and industries where precise part fitting is crucial, this caliper features two sets of jaws and a depth bar.
The caliper's dual vernier scale provides enhanced measurement precision. The upper scale measures in inches, while the lower scale measures in millimeters. The 14-degree vernier face angle improves visibility and helps prevent parallax errors during the reading process.
The two sets of jaws on the caliper enable users to take outside dimension (OD), inside dimension (ID), and step measurements. The butt end of the fixed jaw can measure one end of a workpiece, allowing for the subsequent measurement of its upper/lower or inner/outer steps.
A depth measuring blade with rounded edges offers the capability to make accurate depth measurements. The raised scales on the caliper slide easily, protecting the graduation markings from defacement and wear.
For convenient and efficient measuring, the caliper is equipped with a thumbwheel that allows for fast and easy adjustments. A clamping screw on the upper scale can be rotated to control the scale movement and lock the sliding jaw's position.
